Day 5: Tiny Town

A little bit further into the mountains was a place called, "Tiny Town." It was one of our "Camden" destinations. As the name implies everything is pint size for the little ones.

She was a little hesitant after the train whistle blew loudly and scared her half to death. She got quite clingy, but, in the end, couldn't resist the little buildings. The first one we came to was the Denver Fire House. It was one of the ones the kids could actually go inside.

Kevin even joined her. I got a few shots through the window (look hard for them both)...and we got lots of chuckles as Kevin crawled out.

She got adjusted to the train noises and even stopped to wave at all the people on them. Although we didn't push it and try to ride ourselves.

She was fascinated by the little houses. She went up to most of the houses, sat on the porch, and knocked on the doors.

This storybook house was my favorite. Very Dr. Seuss-ish.

I think Camden's favorite was the windmill. She loves finding them along the roadside. The trip across Kansas had smaller pasture ones and large windmill farms. We enjoyed pointing them out. She enjoyed exploring this one.

We all stopped at the wishing well and put in our pennies.

There was also a miniature greenhouse, complete with miniature flowers.

And a final stop at the post office to see if Papaw was working (he was a letter carrier before he retired).
