Little Pink Motorcycle

In addition to big trucks, planes, and buses, Camden loves pointing out motorcycles. I'd been looking to get her a tricycle, so I couldn't pass up this craigslist bargain. It has buttons that beep, make turn signal clicks, play a polka and rock a cool "beach" tune.

Yes, she lives in her swimsuit...and yes, the back porch is now her swim deck (we were getting tired of big dead grass circles on our lawn).

ABC's and....

She has started singing this all by herself. It often ends at "E" when it becomes "EIEIO," but this one veers into H I and even K, I think.

And listen closely for another of her latest milestones.

Happy Birthday, GaGa!

We have had so many birthdays this past month. Camden doesn't mind. She gets homemade ice cream and time with GaGa.

Plus, it gives her good practice for next month...when she will be 2!

Taking Care of Babies

Camden's newest imaginitive play is taking care of her dolls. She spends hours covering them up with blankets to go night-night, carrying them around, giving them hugs and kisses, changing their diapers (although mommy usually has to wipe them), and making sure they get fed.

Can't forget about Dora!

Pool Paradise

Daddy has hooked Camden up with quite the pool area. Yes, it's a bit "redneck," but she's got a pretty cool set-up.

I think she has gone swimming everyday for the past week. She loves the water!

Playing in the Sprinkler

I hooked up the sprinkler to see if Camden would run through it. She hesitated, but as soon as I put on my suit and joined in, she was a bit braver. I wasn't going to post the pictures since the camera lens fogged up (going from air conditioner to hot, humid outdoors is not good for it), but I still thought they were fun.

I love watching the back and forth...in and out...oooh it got me! action of sprinkler play.

Alllillillgator Swimming Pool

It's hilarious when Camden says, "alligator." She's said it since last fall when her daycare had an elevator and she called it the "alllilllilllator." When we were picking out her new swimming pool, we decided this was the animal of choice.

It will be nice when the rain and thunderstorms let up and she can enjoy it even more often (and so the large beast can stop sitting on top of the car or truck in the garage...).

Starbucks Confession

We sometimes let Camden take sips of our iced coffees at Starbucks. I know, I know. We try to make sure to order decaf (if that makes any difference!?!?).

She does love her iced "mocha".

Water Fountains

There were two water fountains on our stroll downtown and we stopped at each for a few minutes. Camden loves "watie." Saying she has an obsession might be closer to the truth. I found a great book at the Library about water and we read it 500,000 times every day. (Truth be told, it's a cute book, with nice illustrations, plus my baby girl is enjoying it, so I really don't mind).

Have I mentioned lately that she is fearless...and a climber? Aunt Carole was always right there making sure she didn't go too far and stayed safe.

Camden also threw pennies in the fountain. She thought that was the best thing ever!

Strollin' Downtown

While everyone else was giving attention to lighting the candles on Aunt Carole's birthday cake, Camden went right to the heart of the matter and snatched a bite (or two) of birthday cake.

After dinner and cake at Lafayette Brewing Company, we all took a walk down Main Street. It turned out to be a beautiful evening after threatening thunderstorms didn't materialize.

She twirled some with ReeRee.

And gladly took the hands of some of her favorite people.

I love taking pictures of her from the back. I guess I think she's adorable from all angles!

Happy Birthday, Aunt Carole!

Camden loved helping you blow out your candles!

Shades

Spent the evening at Shades State Park playing in the playgrounds and trying not to get eaten by all the bugs.

Just take the picture, Mom!

The girl loves sand. We are looking for a cheap sand/water table. Hoping to score one off of Craigslist soon.

Exploring and climbing on the playground structure.

Heading back to the car to go home...

...but not before being a goof-ball for the camera.
