Date Night

This time it was Momma and Camden.  Kevin was out with Uncle Ric at the Boat, Sport, and Travel Show, so we hit the town for some girl time.

Her request had been some sushi, so we stopped at Yamato and shared a sweet potato roll and a veggie roll.  Oh...and some french fries.

Rehearsal

We have one more rehearsal before an official dress rehearsal and three showings of the musical review that Camden is in with the Vanity Theater.  Her group is singing two songs among the many that are being done.

Yes, she is apparently growing out of all her pants and prefers these unbuttoned.  Time to go shopping this weekend!

StarLily and Rhianah

My cell phone rang on Sunday afternoon.  It was Camden's friend Rhianah's mom.  She was working at home and Anah was bored.  Could she come over for a bit and hang out with Camden?  Camden was beyond thrilled!

The girls played outside for about a half hour then came inside to play.  Anah spotted the unicorn and they played with it until it was time to leave for Camden's rehearsal (Anah came with us).

There is an app that interacts with the toy and plays music and games that StarLily responds to.

February Birthdays

The party for the February (and a January) birthday was last weekend.  Such a fun time with Kevin's family to celebrate Grandpa French, Aunt Tammy, and Amanda.

I made another coconut cake.  Grandpa and Tammy both loved it and suggested it as their request.  GaGa made her cinnamon rolls since it's usually Amanda's request (and we all love them!).

Getting all the birthday kids and the actual kids to all look at the camera at the same time proved to be a challenge.

Preslee asked for a mini photo session and sat on the couch while I snapped away.  A few of the good ones.

Hali saw us and wanted a turn.  Got some really good smiles out of her...and a couple of giggles.

Dinosaur Dig

President's Day was a day off for both Camden and Kevin.  They did a few fun projects together using the Glow Fossil Science kit Camden got for Christmas.

First up was making plaster molds of fossils.

Next was excavating a rock for buried fossils.  She had to use special tools to break through the material without hurting the hidden treasure.

Success!  But there was more.

Next she painted the T-Rex head with Glo paint.

It does really glow in the dark!

Time to check the fossil molds.  She painted them the next day.

Valentine's Day

Camden awoke Sunday morning to some Valentine's gifts on the table.  Kevin and I got her a few of her favorite items.  She actually doesn't eat a lot of candy unless it's the good stuff.  Her favorite are the Ghirardelli squares and Reese's Cup.  I also saw a red velvet and a brownie Russell Stover's heart and thought she would like it.  Of course, the unicorn was simply too cute to pass up.

Valentine's Party at School

I saw a cute valentine online that was so Camden's humor.  When I told her about it, she agreed that "Bugs and Kisses" would be her choice.  With a quick printout at work it was an easy, and unique, Valentine.

I volunteered to help at the party.  I made chocolate-covered strawberries for part of the snack and helped run one of the games.  The parent in charge put the game together so all I had to do was show up.

I loved seeing all the creative boxes.

She had a pile of cards and snacks at her desk.  It was a very fun party.
