Day 4: Airplane Restaurant

The trip up (and down) Pike's Peak took longer than we anticipated, so we were ready for lunch once we got to the bottom. We had already planned to go to the "Airplane Restaurant," but it was even more fitting with how much Camden was loving airplanes this trip. She spent a lot of time spotting them in the sky, pointing them out, then telling us that they were gone in the clouds.

This restaurant was literally an airplane. Half of the body and one wing were inside the "terminal" where you could also eat.

But the rest of the plane had been converted to booths so you could eat in the fuselage.

The cockpit was still intact, so kids could climb in, push buttons, and pretend to be flying. Camden was a little tentative at first, but then saw other kids doing it, so she happily gave it a shot.

A fun lunch atmosphere...and good sticky sweet potato fries (even Kevin agreed!).
