Embassy Suites

Since there were 5 of us on the trip (PopPop came with us), we got a suite at the Embassy Suites just outside of St. Louis in St. Charles. It was beautiful and perfect for us. Camden, Kevin and I could stay in the bedroom and Austin and PopPop could share the living room area. It had a stunning atrium where there was an evening reception with drinks and snacks, as well as a cook-to-order breakfast each morning. All included in the price!

Camden loved riding up the glass elevators and pointing out the "watie" in the fountains below.

There was a Bass Pro Shop across the street, so our first night, we got a snack at the evening reception then headed over for some shopping. Kevin was so disappointed. It was the smallest (lamest?) store we had ever seen. The big bear at the entrance was about the only impressive thing in the store.

We headed back to the hotel and relaxed for the rest of the evening. Of course we had to check out the hot tub and pool.

We rested up for a full day of plans the next day...
