Pop Century

We stayed at the Pop Century Resort at DisneyWorld.  It's one of their value resorts (cheapest), so we paid average rates for a hotel, but got all the perks of being at a Disney one.  Each area of the resort has a decade theme with pop icons from that era.  We got a "preferred" room and stayed in the 60's which was right near the main pool and the main lobby/eating/bus pick-up.

The mascot of our section was Mowgli and Blu.

The stairways at the ends of our buildings were Duncan yo-yos.

We ended up enjoying the pool more times than planned.  We spent a few evenings and one afternoon there.  They did various games throughout the day...Camden enjoyed the trivia.

Our room was a bit smaller than when we stayed at a moderate resort, but it was perfect for us.  The second queen bed was a Murphy bed that became a table when it was up.  The decor was simple, but we didn't need much.  Each day, housekeeping put her stuffed animals on the bed.

Another Disney tradition (for some) is to decorate windows.  We don't do this, but our neighbors did.

One day we came back and housekeeping had used Camden's souvenir's to decorate our window.  We loved it!

We had a nice quick service restaurant at our resort where we could fill up on drinks (unlimited refill souvenir cup was part of our plan) and buy snacks or meals.  We had breakfast there one morning and also a few snacks.  They are known for their tie-dye cheesecake.  It used to come in slices, but now comes in a little round container.  Of course, Camden had to try it.
