Disney: Day 1 - Hollywood Studios

Since we arrived in the morning, we were able to hit a park prior to dinner that evening.  We headed to Hollywood Studios to use our 3 fast passes (reservations that let you onto a ride without waiting in the general line).  We stopped at several of the photo stops (also a 'perk' you can buy into) where a Disney photographers takes pictures of your group.  These are always such nice, professional shots and allow us not to have to get our phone out every second.

At the entrance:

This one is a "magic" shot where they pose us, but digitally add in something extra (in this case balloons) to complete the photo.  Camden and I are trying to hold Kevin down from getting carried away.

Inside main gate:

Entrance to Rock 'N Roller Coaster.

This is a fast coaster that goes upside down.  We are shot out from 0 to 60 in like 2 seconds...our faces show it!

The main streets through the park are like streets on a Hollywood set.

Photographers take on average between 3-8 shots. We realized quickly that we were getting mainly the same shot every time.  So we started switching poses between them.  Some got quite goofy.

Sweet Treats:

One of our other favorites - the Tower of Terror.

The newest section of any DisneyWorld Park is Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios.  It is so bright and colorful, with lots of beloved items and characters from the movies.

And a couple from our phone:

It was a good start to the day.  With Toy Story being the big draw, a lot of the older rides and attractions were basically walk-ons.  The weather was hot, but beautiful.  We left shortly before 5 to get to our reservations at the Grand Floridian resort for dinner.

Camden didn't seem her normal self on rides and we thought the early morning was catching up to her, but we also worried she was getting a migraine.  As soon as we got on the bus out of Hollywood Studios, she leaned on me and said she had a headache.  The ride was 15 minutes and by the time we got to the Grand Floridian, she was in complete migraine, get-me-home, I want to sleep, nothing else matters mode.  Unfortunately with the way Disney reservations go, we knew we were going to loose this opportunity if we left.

The restaurant was 1900 Park Fare and their evening meal is Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner.  It is a wonderful buffet and Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the evil stepsisters make a visit.  Camden wanted nothing to do with anything.  She did lay down/sleep in our booth so Kevin and I could eat (scarf down) our meal.  Thankfully Cinderella and Prince Charming came around shortly after we got there.  Initially, we didn't wake Camden up for pictures, so we got in them instead so she would have proof they came around.

They got about 4 tables away and she woke up and wanted to meet them.  They graciously came back and loved on her a bit.

We decided to forgo Disney transportation because they don't go from resort to resort.  It would mean a bus back to a park then transfer to another bus (usually a bit of a walk) for a bus back to our resort - probably taking 45 minutes or so.  We bit the bullet and paid for a taxi to take us back to Pop Century.  We all were asleep before 8:30!
