Camden and I got to sleep in a bit while Kevin met up with a friend who was just ending his vacation at Disney for golf on the Lake Buena Vista course.
They were paired with a man (and his wife who was along for the ride) from North Carolina and a man from England.
Camden and I enjoyed time back at the resort. We swam in both pools, got a croissant for breakfast (her new favorite), and relaxed in our room until Kevin got back. Then we headed back to Magic Kingdom to do some more rides.
We had another Fast Pass for Big Thunder Mountain and a bonus hard ticket pass that one of the Disney employees handed us the night before. Two rides back-to-back.
Just next to this ride was Splash Mountain and our next Fast Pass was for it. The three of us rode it and then Kevin and Camden waited in the regular line (that only had a 20 minute wait - incredibly short in Disney time) and rode again.
Blurry, but here they come!
At the exit line for Splash Mountain we saw that Woody and Jessie from Toy Story were giving autographs. After the previous night at the Dance Party, I was not sure if Camden wanted to do this, but she was game. Unfortunately Woody had to leave while we were in line, but Camden did get to meet Jessie. This encounter was special and she was hooked on getting autographs from that point on.
We did several more rides - including Pirates of the Caribbean. Camden picked out a sword in the gift store of this ride and enjoyed showing it off in the next picture stop. We were still a little wet (Kevin = drenched) from Splash Mountain, but it was starting to rain and we cut the picture taking short to get under cover.
While waiting for the rain to pass, we were near a photographer who was taking pictures of a little boy who ran out and was playing in the downpour. When he finished, Camden took a turn.
Unfortunately, the rain showed no signs of passing quickly and we had dinner reservations. I didn't pack our rain gear that day so we ended up getting completely and thoroughly drenched as we had to walk from the back of Magic Kingdom to the front and then to our bus stop. We were also going to be late for our reservations at Cape May Cafe for an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet. This was a good meal, but probably the one place I would not select again. There are so many options at Disney!
