Monday Morning - Princess Breakfast & EPCOT Future World

We were up early enough to get to Epcot just after it opened.

We had time to enjoy a few rides before we had a late breakfast reservation.  We chose Mission Space which is a simulator ride where you are given a role on a rocket (engineer, pilot, navigator, or commander) on a trip to Mars.  There are two options - green (mild ride) and orange (wild ride with spinning).  Can you guess which one our daredevil selected.  The G-forces were amazingly strong!  After the ride, there was an area to play some video games and climb in a playplace.

After a ride on Ellen's Energy Adventure which had some cool dinosaur animatronics, we headed to our breakfast at Akershus which is a castle in the Norway pavilion in the World Showcase.  It is the only other princess character meal other than Cinderella's Castle in Magic Kingdom.  Camden is not necessarily into princesses, but was enthralled once we got in.

Her first encounter was with Belle who was in the entrance and had a Disney photographer with her.

Then we were seated at our table and able to go to the buffet to get some pastries and Norwegian breakfast staples (liked pickled herring and smoked salmon).  In the meantime, our waitress brought us drinks and a platter full of scrambled eggs, potato casserole, bacon, and sausage.  Unbelievably good!  It was also all-you-can-eat, so if we wanted more, she brought another platter.

While we were eating, the other 4 princesses that were there this day came around to our table and spent a few minutes with Camden, signed her autograph book and posed for pictures.  It is not always possible to have Cinderella so we were pleased that she was there on our day.  She was very regal.

Next came Princess Aurora who was polite and kind.

Snow White was so pleasant and happy and whimsical.  We enjoyed that each one took on their character's persona.

Camden's favorite was Ariel.  She was ditzy and talked a mile a minute.  She asked Camden if she liked to swim and told  her stories about racing sharks.  I think her energy reminded Camden of herself.

She had to parade with Ariel around the restaurant.  She was so tickled that only one other girl chose her so she got to hold Ariel's hand.

Another building in the Norway area was a castle that was the model for the settings in Frozen.  Inside were some actual items from Norway that were also used by Disney animators in the creation of the scenes and costumes in the movie.

After breakfast, we headed out of the World Showcase area of Epcot and back to Future World.

We rode other rides - Soarin', The Land, Nemo and Friends, as well as watch an interactive show with Crush (the turtle from Nemo).

An aquarium and play area was outside the Nemo attraction.
