Sugar Creek

A few weeks ago on a hot, hot Sunday afternoon, we took the back road home from Church/town.  We were in the truck that has no A/C at the time and were trying to stay cool.  Camden was getting fussy and ready to get home.  We passed a sign for "public boat access" to the Sugar Creek.  Neither Kevin or I had ever seen this before.  We backed up and took a look.

A short walk through the woods and we came to a nice shallow creek that feed into the larger Sugar Creek.  I did not have proper shoes (and my tender feet can't walk on rocks) so I enjoyed watching Camden and her Daddy wade the cool waters.

They crossed over to another land patch and went to explore another section.

On their way back, Kevin was showing Camden how good he is at skipping rocks (it is pretty impressive).  These two could have stayed here for hours enjoying the outdoors and especially the water.

They played for another 30-45 minutes and then we headed home.  It turned a hot, hot country drive into a pretty perfect Sunday afternoon.
