Spring Break

Spring Break week started with a snowstorm over the weekend, a morning at Papaws, a sleepover with Sophia, and 2 days at Gramma Pats.  I am thankful that she was able to dye eggs with Gramma because I didn't think our schedule was going to fit that in.

We picked Camden up on Wednesday night and headed up to northwest Indiana and Chicago for a few days over Kevin's weekend.    We stayed in Merrillville so naturally we had to make our first stop be Albanese Candy Factory.

Immediately after checkin, we got changed and headed for the pool and hot tub.

The other Spring Break fun was another bout of strep throat.  I took her in to the clinic on Saturday morning (first day of break).  The doctor didn't even swab it because protocol says that if she had a positive test within the last 2 weeks (and it was obvious!) it was not required.  He bumped her up to Augmentin to ensure all the virus was killed.  She responded immediately and so we were able to enjoy break without delay...just 10 more days of medicine.

Augmentin has a much more bitter taste and, even with apple flavoring we had added, Camden felt a nose plug was necessary.  Whatever works!
