New Tricks

Toward the end of work, the high school and college kids started messing around.  A fierce competition began to see who could do handstands the longest.

Camden was even in the running.

Church Work Day

Sunday evening we had work day at our church.  Camden put on her pajama bottoms and snow boots (go figure) and happily headed to help.  Actually, she didn't want to go (she was happily playing at home), but I told her we would go dig in the dirt and she got excited.  When she compared it to the beach, I got the idea to take her beach bucket and shovels.  Best.move.ever.

I was in charge of 6 jr. high girls and sweeping, but Camden wanted dirt.  When she saw a big pile of mulch, she had a new mission.

I was working nearby, so I let her sit and dig and play in the mulch for quite a while.  She was more than content.

She took her bucketfuls over to a nearby garden spot and contributed to the landscaping.

After a brief snack break, she ran into one of her best buddies from daycare (who obviously also goes to our church).  She and Owen spent the next hour playing and "helping" as best they could.  They were extra happy when they got to use the big tools.

Amy's Baby Shower

Camden attended Amy's baby shower with me on Saturday.  Amy's twins are due at the end of April - a boy and a girl.  It was so good to see all my FRINKS friends.  We hardly get together anymore except at special occassions (plans were made for this week, however!).

Camden chose to wear her nicest Spring dress.  The weather had taken a slight turn and was a little chilly, so I was glad I brought her sweater.  She put it on before I got a good picture of her in her dress (the only one I took was blurry).

After a wonderful brunch (and lots of catching up), we got down to the business of eating cake and opening presents.

Of course, Camden slowly made her way to center stage.

At first she just sat front and center.

But as presents were opened, she made her way to "help."  With every bag, Camden would turn to me and ask, "What is it, Mama?" and clap excitedly.  She won over the rest of the group.  I think she ended up opening 1/2 of Amy's gifts, but also helped pick up the paper off the floor which was a big help.

Beverly generously gave Camden all the balloons to take home.

She was extra careful when we went outside to make sure to hold on tight.  She did want to go over by the flag on the putting green (the shower was at the Lafayette Country Club).  I would have cropped closer, but I loved the tree in the background.

What a wonderful celebration!

W is For Wagon

This week's letter at school is W.  For show-n-tell on Thursday, Camden chose to take her wagon (and her deer for some reason).

She also wanted to wear one white sock (hers) and one black sock (mine).  I guess she was trying to be wacky.

I love the sunrise peaking through the tree line causing a beautiful pink/purple morning, but I love her long legs and neon outfit the most.

We wore tie-dye in honor of Daddy who went to Atlanta for two more weeks.  At least we are almost at the 1/2 way mark.

Trampoline Fun

Also wanted to update her latest trick on the rings.  She climbs onto the chair then lifts herself up to swing.  So clever and so strong....

Quad Time

This picture made me think of when we first bought this quad.  It was 3 years ago, so Camden was not quite 1, but my oh my she was little (or my oh my she IS big).

Go Fly a Kite

Perfect, perfect day for Camden to learn to fly a kite.

And she did...standing, sitting, and even laying down!

9-Holes

It's hard to believe we have such gorgeous weather in March.  We decided to hit the golf course at Turkey Run.  We had the whole course to ourselves...perfect!

The wind did pick up later in the evening and Camden wanted to put on her jacket, but she did some nice putting with her (plastic) clubs and a nice long (wink, wink) drive with Daddy's.
