A close second was the girls entertaining her by playing with Big Mouth Billy Bass. I didn't even capture the best singing/dancing combo. Camden has quite the wiggle going on when she dances. It's even better when she gets her shoulders bobbing up and down. But this is classic Camden.

Lafayette visit
We journeyed up to Lafayette for the afternoon and evening on Sunday. We needed to run a few errands (30% off coupon from Kohl's!), plus we hadn't seen Grammy in so long. We only made a short visit, but Camden enjoyed talking and giving kisses to her great grandma.

We then headed over to Aunt Carole and Uncle Ric's for dinner, showing off, and playing cards. Camden had a ball with her cousins Amanda and LaLa. She dressed up like a pirate (notice the blue eyes between them) and making peace signs with monster fingers. She was quite talented at saying, "Peace" by the end of the experiment.

The most hilarious moment of the evening came when she dropped her bowl of Cheese Nips in the back room where the boys (and Lauren) were playing ping pong. Hershey (the dog) came over to help pick them up and Camden proceeded to mimic Hershey, getting down on all fours and picking up the Nips with her mouth. Despite how gross that is and that we need to teach her not to eat off the floor, we ROARED with laughter.

Baby Shower Creations
A friend from church is having a baby this month. A few of us ladies got together and wanted to do something for her. I had heard of painting onesies, so decided that would be our activity. Upon further organizing, I realized that none of us had any artistic ability...and even stencils and paint seemed a little too messy for our skill level. So I decided to create some graphics (with phrases "borrowed" from a google search) that we could print on iron-on transfers and simply attach. I got some fabric paint that we could embellish with...or if someone was feeling daring, they could create an image.
The results were pretty good. The white tranfer yellowed a little when we ironed it, but overall we were pretty pleased. The second grade daughter of one of the women was the only one brave enough to tackle free style painting. It turned out cute, too, but I'm glad we went in this direction.

First Ponytail
Camden has this chunk of hair that is so long...it doesn't even get in her eyes or bother her in any way, but I still keep thinking it needs a hair accessory. It doesn't help that the rest of her hair is so short, nor that her "long hair" is so fine.
Too hilarious! I'm going to try putting it up a little higher next time and it might actually make a Pebbles fountain, but more likely than not, I just have to give it another month or two.
But there you go Aunt Carole!

A Little Bow
There is a section of hair that is finally long enough to justify a barrette.
Okay, I'm pushing it...but it looked cute for the 15 minutes it stayed in!

More Baby Time
We visited baby Haliana again on Wednesday night. We didn't get to hold her on Tuesday because she was being tended to in the nursery and Amanda was getting cleaned up for the day.
Camden loved touching the baby and visiting her cousin Amanda.
Better yet was actually getting the chance to hold Haliana.

Then Camden kissed her! Right on the kisser, too! I know, I know...germs gallore...poor baby Haliana. But it's still adorable.

Bring On Jack Nicklaus!
Spring is just around the corner. Which means GaGa and GaGa2 will be golfing a lot. They love the game. And they would like Camden to love it too. So they decided she needed her own set of clubs.

She liked them immediately. And with a little instruction, she actually was taking pretty good shots.
Now her technique leaves something to be desired. There are one handed shots, backward shots, and end of the handle shots. But she loves hitting the ball with the club...and has excellent hand-eye coordination for a 1 1/2 year old. Or maybe it's simply pure dumb luck...
She even was picky about which club she selected.
It looks like she's a natural!

Haliana Gail Sowers
Camden, Kevin, and I got to meet Haliana today. She is the new daughter of our niece, Amanda. Officially Camden now has a cousin around her age to play with. Haliana was born around 3:30pm on Tuesday. She weighed 6lbs, 10oz and was 19 1/2" long.
Welcome to the family, Hali!
