Library & Museum Day

The plan was to spend the day at a pool.  Then I looked at the forecast.  We headed to the Library.  It was perfect timing to sign up for the summer reading program.  The theme is Under the Sea.  In addition to picking a book, Camden decided to do the octopus craft.

I told her it reminded me of the purple octopus character she was for Halloween when she was little.

Part of the reading program involved going across the street to the Carnegie Museum.  We quickly did the requirement and the girls saw all kinds of activities here too.  We each decorated a mask.

Did some origami.

And created a monster page corner book mark.

By this point, we were ready for lunch and ended up at Little Mexico.  It was packed!  Seemed like 1/2 the people at the Strawberry Festival headed here when it started raining - including the queen and her court.

Sophia's first time eating here.

The indoor pool at the high school has open swim on Saturday afternoons, so we ended up getting some good swim time in after all.
