Twin Lakes Camp

Finally time to catch up to Twin Lakes Camp.  Camden had a great time!  So fun to see her beautiful face on pickup day.  Watching all the reunions is so sweet.  I sat at her table with the girls from her cabin for breakfast and heard several stories.  One of the girls got a leech on her leg at the pond, a few didn't want to do the water zip into the creek, the blob was too scary, etc.

We didn't have to go without seeing her all week because she came home on Tuesday night with a headache.  She took a 3 hour nap at the medical clinic at camp, but woke up and was insistent on coming home.  She gets really inconsolable and I couldn't have the nurse deal with an irrational girl, so I picked her up, got her two showers, and off to bed for the night.  Woke up 12 hours later ready to return!  She was back in time to participate fully in the day and stayed the rest of the week with her cabin mates (four of them below).

As we were picking up her stuff from her cabin told us they had cameras you could buy at the camp store and she had gotten one.  Then she said, "Can you believe you have to PAY to see the pictures?" The parents around us at the time just laughed!  She was shocked to know that was how it used to be.

When we got home I asked her for the camera. "I threw it away."  What?  "I used all the pictures up, so I threw it away?"  Apparently she still was not aware of how it all worked because she thought she had to get the film developed at the camp store and she didn't want to pay for it...plus they were all used up.
