Fair Oaks Dairy Farm - Cow Adventure

I took the day off on Friday and we headed north to Fair Oaks Dairy.  The last time we were there, Camden was in my tummy!  It also has grown and expanded over the years.  The cost reflects it, but it was really interesting and we all three enjoyed it.

We arrived at lunch time, so we stopped in the COWfe and got lunch.  All the dairy products are produced from their farm.  The specialty is grilled cheese...and it is cheesy!  I got one with bacon added and Kevin got a Reuben - oh my!

Then we headed to the Cow Adventure.  We took the bus tour out to one of the dairy farms first.

Our bus drove us past all aspects of the farm - where the feed is stored, calves are kept, and then right down the middle of one of the cow barns.

Next the bus stopped at the milking barn and we got out to watch it happen.  Everything is biosecured, so we never came close to actual exposure with the animals.

We loaded back up and headed back to the main buildings for more of the adventure.
