Camden returned to Boiler Kids Camp this summer. We signed her up for the first two weeks, with plans of signing her up for 2 more later in the summer. I loved taking her the first day and several of the counselors saying "Hi Camden" as we walked up. Those returning counselors said, "Of course we remember Camden." Then quickly added, "In a good way!". That little goofball is memorable.
I stopped by and watched her swim on the first day.
She loved the circle pool. The kids circled and circled until they had a good whirlpool going. So good that one little girl got out and promptly got sick. UGH!
She also loved the ledge. You can see her doing the "NesTea Plunge" off of it.
As I was taking pictures of her getting out, one of the staff looked up and vehemently yelled at me to stop taking pictures. I was a little bewildered and then grateful that they were concerned about the safety and privacy of the kids in the program.
I caught the glass in the last two, but posted them anyway since it shows how much she loved me and Kevin being there to watch her swim.
Because of funeral arrangements for Grampa Jim, we were not able to go the second week. We have her on the wait list for another week to make up for Week 2, so hopefully she will get another week in this summer. I guess the word is getting out about how good this camp is because registration is now closed so we will stick with 2 weeks again this year!
