Mother's Day

Kevin and Camden greeted me Sunday morning with the sweetest gifts.

Teacher Appreciation 2017

Camden has loved her teacher, Mr. Chadd.  He has been patient and kind as he pushes her to greater maturity and responsibility this year.  Plus he is just plain fun.  He is the one teacher on the playground interacting with the kids.  He is the one giving every child a high-five as they walk through the halls.

We sent a small gift each morning to show our appreciation.

Monday: Spicy Sriracha almonds - "Hope I haven't driven you NUTS this year"
Tuesday: Goldfish X-tra Cheesy Crackers - "You are oFISHally my favorite 3rd grade teacher"
Wednesday: Google Play gift card - "The end of the year is 'MUSIC' to our ears"
Thursday: Starbucks Caramel Latte K-pods - "Thanks a (caramel) Latte"
Friday: Cookies and Cream Bark - "Thanks for making me one smart COOKIE"

By the end of the week, the other kids in the class were giving her suggestions on what to get and what to say on the note.

New Sushi Fav

We had a craving for sushi while shopping in Lafayette on Sunday.  Most of the places we were familiar with were closed.  We decided to try a new place (at least to us).  We were a little leery since it was a buffet and sometimes things aren't as fresh.

Boy were we wrong.  All three of us found great, fresh things we liked, plus some of our other Chinese favorites (veggie tempura, crab rangoon, etc.).  We will definitely go here again.

JnP and OL

Rhianah joined us for a day out on Saturday.  We started at JnP - Jump and Play in Avon.

After almost 2 hours they were thirsty and needing a snack.  We headed around the corner to Orange Leaf.  Not quite Pink Walrus, but it did get Camden's approval.  You also pay per size of cup and not weight, so Camden enjoyed topping her yogurt with several gummy frogs (I usually limit her!).

She also loved that their mascot was an orange unicorn.

Slowly...

But surely we are getting the house finishing touches put on.  We moved Camden's bed to a different spot and put up one (of two) plush hammocks.  What a difference it makes.  And she loves it!

Most days at home, she can be found on the bed with her cat and Nintendo.  Or under it with the same.  She would like to put some curtains up to make it a real hidden clubhouse.

Bandit and Tiggie

Camden snapped this picture of her cat snoozing on her bed among one of her favorite plushes.  Kevin and she were cleaning her room, so all the stuff was off the floor too.  The cat slept away while they vacuumed.
