Pool = Fountain

Another afternoon/evening in the pool! She discovered that the fountain gives her easy access to a drink of water.

So does scooping handfuls up from the pool itself.

Of course, our little monkey, also likes to climb the porch railing and look at the canteloupe vines that are taking over that corner of the yard.

Saturday Morning

Camden and I had a nice, lazy Saturday morning around the house. Actually, I rearranged her room and vacuumed the house and did dishes and started laundry. She, on the hand, played and played and played. She is getting much more independent in her time. I love it! She'll go in her room on her own or sit for a little bit and play at her table. Saturday it was playdough and a Dora cartoon.

Goofy Car Rides

Camden is so silly sometimes. I rarely have my camera with me in the car, but I did recently snap a few shots on my phone. Not the best quality, but you get an idea of her playfulness.

Lately she's wanted to take something with her on the car rides to school. This morning it was Daddy's socks to put on her arms like "glubs."

She was loving on her favorite monkey (made by Gramma Pat)...

And looking cool (and a little goofy) in her shades...

As a side note, I also stopped by to get an autographed copy of Drew Brees' new book when he was in town recently. I also only had my phone, so captured a few blurry images. I cut line with a young mother and her 3 month old son...and snapped a picture of him and Drew as a thanks. Drew noticed and looked up!

Ring Around the Rosey

Camden plays a lot of Ring Around the Rosey (or Rosie, if you prefer). Usually it's on dry land, but the last couple of nights she began playing it in her pool. The first time, Daddy got in the pool and they played it together; last night, she did it all by herself. You'll have to excuse the bare bottom...on short evenings, she sometimes gets to skinny dip.

Lunch Date

Camden, Kevin and I had lots of errands to do on Tuesday in Lafayette. Camden had to get her 2 year old portraits taken...and she had a lunch date with Uncle Ric and Aunt Carole.

She had to fill Aunt Carole in on all the happenings in her life.

She had to get lots of Uncle Ric smooches.

And listen to all his silly stories.

She sure loved spending time with them!

Evening Adventures

Camden doesn't slow down. She's always up to something around the living room in the evening. Her latest obsession is socks. She'll take my socks off of my feet and put them on hers. Then she'll take them off, put them on, take them off, put them on....over and over and over...and throw multiple mini-fits when a sock is difficult to get on or off. Seriously, she'll do it for hours. She does look like a cute soccer star in them, though.

I didn't get a picture of it, but she's also obsessed with covering her dolls and animals up with blankets. At various points in the evening, our living room floor is littered with 5-10 creatures covered in kitchen towels, bath towels, sheets, and the curtain from her kitchen sink. Again, she'll spend hours covering and uncovering and making sure the blankets are just right. The room actually looks a little like a morgue since they are completely covered. You definitely have to watch where you step.

She also likes to sit on her table and make faces at me. Or sit at her table and eat blue deebidees.

She does not limit her tantrums to socks, either. This one involved trying to open the finger nail clippers that just won't cooperate (before I took them away). In reality, she doesn't throw too many tantrums. She's fairly even tempered, but we are seeing the 2's coming out a little every day as she tries to become more and more independent and competent at navigating life.

Snapping Beans

Kevin picked a "mess" of beans this weekend, so they had to be snapped. Camden did a good job of helping. She didn't get the ends, but she could sure snap them in half. She really was a help.

Despite the intense expressions (she was very focused), she liked doing it!
