Fair Oaks Farm Visit

We bought the Adventure Pass when we visited earlier this spring, so other visits would be free for the year.  We also have guest passes, so headed there on Saturday with Sophia.

Our first tour was the pig barn about 40 minutes after we arrived, so we headed down to the crop building for a quick stop since it's the smallest building and next to the pork building.

3-D Optical illusion!

We waited briefly for our bus, then explored the pig adventure.

The baby area is always our favorite.  This was the first time in the 4 or 5 visits we have been here that we actually got to see a piglet born.  When the worker brought a pig up to the viewing area and answered questions, she brought one of them that had just been born.  He was like 10 minutes old!

Back to the pork building for the ropes course.  Both girls were leery at first and Camden didn't venture very far.  Sophia, however, got the hang of it and explored both levels and many obstacles.

We had a brief time before our bus for the cow adventure.  When we left the pork building, the green light was on the birthing barn. This means a calf is imminent.  We made it inside to see the birth happen.

The girls enjoyed time on the outside trampoline before our bus.  When we returned we got lunch in the cowfé and then did some more outside play.

Camden tried to climb the wall, while Sophia continued to master the trampoline jump.  Camden and her dad also went to the birthing barn again.

What a fun day exploring!  Always so thankful for time together.
