Crawfordsville Easter Egg Hunt

Kevin took Camden to the egg hunt on Saturday.  It is held at the Lew Wallace Museum.

Waiting outside is made easier with visits from Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny and sidewalk chalk.

Once inside, they lined up along the walls according to age group and waited for the bullhorn to sound for the start.

And they're off!  Kevin said most kids headed straight to the top of a small hill and Camden headed, almost alone, to a little ravine.  She picked up most of the eggs that were in this section.

She had a full basket!   There was very little candy (yes!) and a lot of small trinkets and stickers.  And nobody in her section found the golden egg (or realized it before they left).  Some families (including Kevin and Camden) stayed a bit longer searching, but the egg (and bicycle prize) remained unclaimed.

One last visit to with the bunnies to end the fun excursion.

Perfectly Chilly Day at the Park

A trip to Lafayette on a Saturday for errands combined with a stop at Columbian Park for an hour of play - great way to spend some time with Paxton.

Get Air

A few weeks ago we decided to check out the second trampoline park in Lafayette.  Camden's first stop was the Ninja course.  She was timid on each of the obstacles but made her way through it.  After checking out the rest of the place, she returned to this several times and flew through it with much more agility.

She tried a few tightrope/balance beam obstacles.

And mastered the ladder climb.  After several attempts she made it to the top regularly.

The actual trampoline section had several ramp features.  Sometimes she would run/bounce down and sometimes she would slide.

She played HARD for a solid hour.   Her face showed it too!

This was a few dollars more than Elite Air, but so much more fun!  This will be our choice from now on!

Sugar Shack

It's maple syrup time in our part of the woods and we visited a few sugar shacks in Parke County.  Most were simply a basic processing machine in a modern building.  A little disappointing.  Then we stopped at one that was at least a shack...same basic machine though.

The setting was around a nice pond.

Camden wasn't sure where to enter, but Kevin helped her.

Boy it was steamy!

But the syrup was boiling away in it's golden beauty.

Flowers for Our Star

Camden did great for her first ever attempt at this.  Not sure the theater bug has struck, but I know it is a good activity for her.  I could see as the weekend went on that she was slowly feeling bad...and sure enough was sick by Monday morning and out of school for 4 days.

But GaGa and Grandpa made sure to let her know how great she did and how proud they were of her.  They greeted her on Opening Night with a beautiful bouquet.  She was beyond thrilled!
