Home Depot & Cousins

Camden and I headed to Lafayette for the afternoon on Saturday.  Aunt Carole texted us to see if we wanted to meet for lunch.  Their plan (Chick-fil-a) was already in our plan.  I told them that first we were going to Home Depot for the kid's workshop and they decided they would too.

Aunt Carole/Monna helped her grandbabies with their rain gauge.

Both Luke and Olivia were careful painters.  Luke kept telling me to "Look, look".

When we got there, they were out of rain gauge kits, so we did a sailboat.

It was all wood glue and paint.  Camden, too, was very deliberate and did an excellent job with this craft.

We didn't put on the stickers for boat details since the paint was still wet.  I love how colorful she made it.  Definitely earned the certificate and pin!

Hotel Haile

The work in the family room is complete and we are starting to get it put together.  Our furniture will arrive in about 4 weeks and then we will really feel complete.  In the meantime, we have our big red chair, Papaw's recliner, and Camden's beanbag.

Kevin got his 4 deer heads hung (one just behind Papaw) and his bearskin rug, too.

Papaw closes on his house today and has moved in with us until a house in Crawfordsville is finalized.  Gramma Pat moved out 2 weekends ago.  We are wondering who will be our next short-term house guest! Very thankful that we have a home that we can open a space for people to stay (for a night or for a month).

Kevin hung our TV high on this wall.  It is a big one (65") and has a magnificent picture.  Makes watching Netflix movies a great family room experience.

Happy 35th Anniversary GaGa and Grandpa!

I did a quick search to find some pictures of Camden with her grandparents.  Wow!  So many memories.  I actually had to stop because I was finding so many.

Congratulations on this milestone.  We love you!

Playing in Terre Haute

President's Day was a day off school for Camden.  She and her daddy headed to Terre Haute for an errand, but ended up with some time at 2 different parks.  Camden's favorite was right on the Wabash River.

The first thing she told me about her day was going down a big slide that looked like a tongue.

Valentine's Date

Kevin took his baby girl on a daddy-daughter date for Valentine's Day.  He didn't document much, but they enjoyed an early matinee (The Batman Lego Movie in 3D) and dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings.  The original plan was to get sushi at Yamato, but it is closed on Tuesdays.  He also gave her a chocolate heart and a stuffed Tiger plush.

She loves these one-on-one times with her Dad!

En Garde!

These two goof balls were having a sword fight in Big R!

Kevin even showed off his perfect form.
