Swim Lessons

We wanted Camden to have swim lessons this summer, but decided to try the pool at the Parks & Rec.  It's outdoors and it would be new instructors.

It is a 2-week, 8 session program.  After the first week, we are kinda, "eehhh".  They are not doing anything more than she has previously done and the instructor is not good at handling the group.  My squirrely-girl is not good at staying on task if she allowed to do her own thing...which happens a lot.

Plus this week we are rained out 3 days, we will be able to make up one of them, but probably lose out on the others.  Not sure it's been worth the money.  We will have to try another option for next round!

On the positive note, this is the first time Camden and I have gone to Milligan Pool in Crawfordsville and we both love it.  We will definitely swim here more often for fun.

Redheads!

On Saturday of Gramma's visit, we went to Lafayette and had lunch with my Aunt Linda (mom's sister) and then up to see their mom (my Grammy!).  Camden has a great legacy of beautiful, strong, independent women in her life.

July 4th Barbeque

On the afternoon/evening of the 4th, we had GaGa, Grandpa, Papaw, and Austin join us for a barbeque of ribs and brats.  After dinner we played Yahtzee.

On about her fourth turn, Camden rolled a Yahtzee.  It was funny that I was taking pictures as it unfolded.

She left the game shortly afterward...

Gramma Pat Visit

Gramma Pat came to stay at our house for the July 4th weekend.  She arrived on Friday around 10am.  We enjoyed a brunch then headed out for exploring our area.  First we went to a few Amish farms to get some produce and some cheese.  Next we went to Rockville to the 5&10 store.  We ended our afternoon with a visit to Bridgeton to see the covered bridge and the mill.

Camden really wanted to go wade in the river below.

She had to settle for viewing it from the bridge and the mill patio.

Who Is This?

On a recent trip to Chuck E Cheese's, Camden had her sketch done.  Between the camera angle, the bangs and the silver caps on her teeth, she looks like a different girl!  Or maybe she is just growing up!

Cats and Dogs

I have a new appreciation for the phrase, "fighting like cats and dogs."  Tinker and Max are almost non-stop play fighting.  They both love it but it's sometimes hard to watch because they go at it so hard.

Tinkerbell will be 4 months in another week.  She is growing, but still a little bitty thing.

I "stole" some pictures of her mom and dad from Aunt Shirley's facebook.  Her dad is named Blue and he is half Corgi and half miniature Australian Shepherd.

Her mom is Snickers and she is a miniature Dachshund.  Two of Tinkers sisters are also pictured.

Because of this mix, she is definitely all hound!  She is always sniffing and is great at fetch.  The vet also thinks she will stay under 20 pounds which we am thankful for!
