Thanksgiving

We traveled to Illinois to visit Kevin's family for Thanksgiving. There were so many people to see and pictures to take! On the drive over, Camden was decked out in her camo and enjoying the ride next to me in the back seat.

We stayed with Kevin's cousin Amy and her family. Amy has two rough and tumble boys and sure enjoyed the time with sweet, cuddly Camden.

Today we saw a lot more Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. All of Camden's "Greats" were there. Great Aunt Sharon especially enjoyed getting to meet Camden.

We also made sure to get the four generations on her Daddy's side (Camden sure likes talking to her Grandma!)
And a family portrait.
Finally it was just time to be with Mama.

Playing is Hard Work

Camden is really working her feet and legs. She loves to kick and jump and stand. She is discovering they make play much more fun.

Uh-Oh....
Whoa....
She eventually circles herself all the way around. It can entertain her for quite a while.

The cutie sure loves to play!

What a Difference

It was about this time a year ago that we knew we were expecting our darling Camden. It was actually the Monday after Thanksgiving that I took a home pregnancy test, but her four month birthday is today and it got me thinking. What a difference a year can make.
She's making every effort to sit up on her own, so I took this month's bear pictures with her sitting up...well, propped up.

Guess I pushed it a second too long!

She still loves to cuddle with the small bear. She gives it lots of hugs.

And look what a difference four months can make!

Camden is Precious

There are a number of pictures that I haven't posted in the past few weeks, but they're just too cute to not share. Whether she's sleeping....

...hanging out with mommy...

...plotting to take over the world...

...wearing daddy's Colt's hat...

...or even getting burped...

Camden is precious!!

Dr. Jones-Bodie (aka Ashley)

My good friend Ashley, her husband Graham, and their daughter Eden moved to Baton Rouge in August to begin teaching at LSU. Ashley had yet to defend her PhD thesis and returned this weekend to Purdue to do so. Camden and I, along with several other FRINKers, met up at Puccini's to hear about life in the South.

It was so good to see Ashley...it seemed so normal to be with her, it didn't feel like she was just visiting. I wish she wasn't!

3 years

Kevin and I had our first date at Scotty's Brewhouse on November 16, 2005. And every year we return for an "anniversary" dinner. We've officially known each other for 3 years. Only 3 years? Really? Really! Wow.

Camden Goes to School

On Thursday, Camden went to Harrison High School with her cousin Rachel.

For her child development class, Rachel was able to have Camden visit to demonstrate her skills with a baby. She fed, played, and observed Camden.

Apparently Camden was the star of the class. Well, of course. Who doesn't think she's the best! Everyone was so enthralled with her...even the other children.

That afternoon she spent time with her cousin Lauren. Lauren loves her "Cammie" because, at least to this point, they've got the "blue-eye" connection.

Finally, to culminate Camden's big day, she went to swim practice and discovered she may have an interest in the pool after all. Who knows, maybe there will be lots of swim meets in our future.

Pretty in Pink

I'm working from home today and have this amazing beauty playing next to me. I couldn't help but grab the camera and take a few shots. My heart explodes with love every second...

Pepe's and the Mall

We ventured to Lafayette to hang out with Aunt Carole and Uncle Ric for good Mexican food and shopping at the mall. Camden enjoyed her dinner at Pepe's.

She was most happy, though, when she got to stroll around the mall. She definitely likes being in motion.

And she loves kiss sandwiches from Daddy and Uncle Ric...

...or really any silly thing that Daddy does!

From appearances, she was all smiles to find the bargains we did and may have a shopper's heart like her Aunt Carole.

Although now that I think about it, these smiles were captured as we were leaving the mall. So maybe she takes after her mother after all.

Get done...and get out!
