Sushi Kinda Family

Our shared platter at dinner last week.  We have to get 4 rolls now because Camden joins in on the goodness.

Girls Day Out

Camden and I haven't had much "just us" time lately.  We both enjoyed spending Saturday playing Monster Golf and eating Pink Walrus.

Thankfully she saved me from a hideous creature creeping up behind me!

Pink Walrus is her favorite treat.  We've created a new game we play whenever we are there with the bottle caps in the table.  I so love my days with this lovely, goofy, marvelous, funny, smart, beautiful girl.

Jazz Hands

I just loved watching her perform in this production.  She got better and better each show.  Such a ham!

Snowball Fight

There was just enough snow coming down that Camden wanted to play.

First she got the cat involved.

But I made him come back in.

Then Daddy happily obliged.

Owen and Levi Birthday

After morning at the library, Camden went to a birthday party at her friend's Owen and Levi.    We have lots of connections with this family.  Owen and Camden went to preschool together.  They were best buds back then.  He just turned 8 so he is almost 8 months younger and in the second grade.  Levi turned 6.

The family also go to our church and we currently are in a small group with them.  Camden goes to their house while we have group.  It's the highlight of her week.

Their dad is Steve, our wonderful contractor who has done all the work on our house.  He also loves to do cake decorating.  Some are really elaborate and some are simple.  He made a tractor masterpiece for the John Deere-themed party, along with a yummy ice cream cake.

Everyone Reads: Under the Sea

We headed to a program at Crawfordsville Library on Saturday.  It had a sea theme and activities included about 5 different crafts, coloring, snacks, storytime, and door prizes.

The first door prizes were drawn shortly after we got there, and Camden was in the first group.  She got to choose from a table of prizes and selected a ticket to a Vanity Show.

After enjoying the activities, we spent some time upstairs in the kids section.  She played at the Vet station before making a new friend and playing in the large doll house with her.

She checked her pup's heart, ears, mouth, and reflexes.  She even performed a small procedure on it.

Dr. Camden Haile to the rescue.

Show Time

Camden did excellent this weekend in her three performances.

None of us stuck around for the whole show (it was pretty long and her number was in the first 15 minutes).  I didn't get a good picture of Gramma Pat and Camden after the show (it was dark), but still a record of the event.

Kevin took pictures of GaGa and Grandpa giving her an opening night balloon...but apparently didn't.  He got home and there were no pictures saved.  We sure struck out on the picture taking.

We did get a few of her and her balloon because it is amazingly cute...and staying inflated!

The Vanity also put a "cast" shot of the Workshop kids on Facebook.

Snoopy: Lucy's the Boss

Final rehearsal last night for the latest Vanity Production.  Camden is in just one number, but it's a cute one.  Three shows this weekend and three next.

She will have a big cheering section tonight - all four of her grandparents are joining mom and dad.

CSX 10 Years

Kevin hit the 10 year mark at CSX this past fall.  His milestone gift finally arrived and is a beautiful Lenox crystal bowl.  Despite what the picture shows, it currently sits on our table filled with oranges and apples.  So beautiful!

Home Depot & Cousins

Camden and I headed to Lafayette for the afternoon on Saturday.  Aunt Carole texted us to see if we wanted to meet for lunch.  Their plan (Chick-fil-a) was already in our plan.  I told them that first we were going to Home Depot for the kid's workshop and they decided they would too.

Aunt Carole/Monna helped her grandbabies with their rain gauge.

Both Luke and Olivia were careful painters.  Luke kept telling me to "Look, look".

When we got there, they were out of rain gauge kits, so we did a sailboat.

It was all wood glue and paint.  Camden, too, was very deliberate and did an excellent job with this craft.

We didn't put on the stickers for boat details since the paint was still wet.  I love how colorful she made it.  Definitely earned the certificate and pin!
