We spent one morning at a nearby wildlife center. It's actually part of the school system in the area, so there are lots of educational programs. However, it's basically a zoo of animals found in Georgia. Natural habitats are set up throughout the park. You have to walk on trails through the woods and out into the marsh.
Camden was a grump this day. I think she was pretty worn out and just wanted to rest back at the hotel. However, when we came upon this fake nest, she perked up and wanted to climb on the eggs.
A trip back to a small river inlet with turtles and alligators was also a favorite location.
There were also 5 wolves that woke up as we came upon them. They were very cool to watch prowl their area.
It took about an hour or so to walk the whole trail through the park. Several animals were sleeping or hard to find, so we didn't stay long at each exhibit. We really liked the experience of seeing the animals in this environment, rather than a traditional zoo. As we were starting to leave the trail and head back to the main building/gift shop, we came upon a tree that overlooked the river and was perfect climbing. We took several variations of a family picture.
