Dolphin Tour

Our original plan was to go on a dolphin tour.  After watching the dolphins from our hotel all week, we waffled on going.  However, we both like to be out on the water and felt that even a nice boat ride would be enjoyable...plus we would be able to see the dolphins close up.

We left dock near where all the shrimp boats we would see depart every morning were located.

Those pesky dolphins are so hard to photograph!  We did see TONS of them upclose.  Our captain tried to get them to ride in our wake, but they decided they wanted to eat, not play.  However, we had seen a few dophins do that earlier in the week from the shore.  We saw a few babies, too.

We went on the sunset cruise and enjoyed a beautiful skyline on top of all the sea creatures.

The boat also went over close to a second, smaller lighthouse, called Cockspur Island Light.  It was set beautifully against the pink glow of the setting sun.  We were very pleased that we decided to take the tour.
