We had planned to go to a free jazz concert in City Park that evening, but the rain put a damper on it. So instead we headed downtown to see some of the sights and free up the next day to do something else.
Our first stop was Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies baseball team.
Next we went to the convention center to see the "Big Blue Bear."
Finally, we headed to the state house.
We had a photo op on the steps where there is an official mark of the reason Denver is the mile high city.
Couldn't decide between these two...Camden waving is kinda cute in the one. It's one of our new tricks to get her to look at the camera.
Lora tells that some one in more recent years did another measurement and the actual one mile mark was a few steps up. So the gold medal you see is the true mark.
The sun was setting and we had some beautiful views from the steps.
We also couldn't resist climbing onto those cannons.
Another tremendous day in Denver!
