Day 3: Boy Time
Kevin and Austin headed out about 6:30am with a friend of Lora's to go fly fishing. Greg, who is trying to establish himself as a guide, picked the guys up and they headed to the 11-mile Canyon and the South Platte River.
This took them into the Pike National Forest and through a few mountain tunnels to get to their spot in the river.

Since neither of them had ever done fly fishing, it took a lot of time and patience for Greg to show them what to do. He also had to tie their flies each time.

I'm a little bummed that Kevin was manning the camera the whole time so we don't have a picture of him in the river, but he did capture the experience for Austin.

Kevin caught two nice size brown trout and Austin caught one. They were in a catch-and-release section of the river, so we didn't get to eat them and the biggest one got out of the net before Kevin could get a picture, so there's no evidence...but Kevin counts this adventure as one of his favorites from the entire vacation.
