A small family circus has been advertising for over a month in Crawfordsville. Camden has been asking to go...and our schedule was free, so we went! Kevin had to work, but the two of us had a great time.
Since it was in our local Armory, I was unsure how they were going to be able to handle the acts and the audience. But with one ring and 4-tier bleachers around three sides, we had a perfect setup. We arrived about 45 minutes before start time (since we were coming from swim lessons) but that gave us time to pick our best seat and get a snack without battling any crowd.
Camden felt like such a big girl because I let her take two dollars and walk by herself to buy the popcorn. It was less than 25 feet away from our seat and only one or two other families were there (this goes against so much of my natural paranoia when it comes to her, but it was a fairly safe way for me to let go of that a little).
She enjoyed her popcorn (and a snow cone a bit later) while watching everyone arrive and the circus staff do their pre-show stuff.
Then they set up pony rides in the middle of the ring...and of course, we had to indulge. This will be a running theme of the night. I let her indulge all evening...yes, she is spoiled...but it is the CIRCUS...a kid should have a really special, magical night!
Lots more pictures to come...
