Imagination Station

We recently (Saturday) became members of the Imagination Station in Lafayette.  Part of the reason was because it's very age-appropriate for Camden.  The other reason is because it's part of the Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC).  This means that we get in free at any other museum that is part of the ASTC.  The recently opened to rave reviews Terre Haute Children's Museum and 6 Chicago museums are on this list.  The annual membership is very reasonable at Imagination Station so it's a good deal.  With another visit here and a visit to one other museum we have more than covered our cost...and I'm sure we'll visit more than that!

Camden's favorite spot was the dinosaur dig.  There are "dinosaur bones" buried among the rocks.  Camden didn't really care about that...she just liked the sand.  We played for about 30 minutes...stopped to look at something else...and immediately came back for more time in the sand.

The museum also has a large fire truck to climb on and DRIVE.

Upstairs there is a more toddler friendly play area...which Camden only enjoyed for 5 minutes...there was sand to get back too.

After another stop to dig in the sand, Camden finally wanted to look at some of the other hands-on exhibits.

We are glad to be members of the Imagination Station.  More Saturdays in Lafayette will include a stop there.
