Grammy

Grammy has been living in a nursing home since getting pretty sick this winter.  It was determined recently that she would live there permanently and my mom, aunts, and uncles are closing down her apartment and distributing her belongings.  It's a big undertaking and everyone was busy this weekend with this task.  Since everyone was in town, however, they decided to take Grammy out to lunch since she rarely gets to leave the nursing home facility.  It's one of the reasons we came up to Lafayette on Sunday.  So before Bug Bowl, Kevin, Camden and I met them at O'Charley's for lunch with Grammy.

Gramma Pat gave Camden a gift of a new purse...filled with a pack of Kleenex, a small bottle of lotion, a notepad, plenty of stickers, and some jelly bean candies.  Camden LOVED her purse.  She opened it up and spent the entire lunch playing with it's contents.  When we left, she made sure to carry her purse over her shoulder like a big girl.

We got a few pictures of the generations (although Uncle Jerry must not have pushed the button hard enough to capture the four generations...we're going to try again on Easter weekend).

After bug bowl, we headed to Grammy's apartment to visit with Gramma Pat and Grampa Jim.  Aunt Carole, Uncle Ric, LaLa and ReeRee came over for a while, too.  Camden had a great time - especially being thrown in the air by Uncle Ric and searching for him hiding under a blanket.

She also had lots of sips of my Strawberry Limeade...even though she had her own strawberry slushie (gotta love Sonic happy hour!).

One of our biggest laughs of the afternoon came when Camden took off Gramma Pat's knee-highs and put them on her legs.

Finally, Camden entertained us with her piano playing skills while we watched the final round of the Masters.
