We arrived as the kids were assembling at the flag pole then getting breakfast. We parked the car at her cabin and walked to the breakfast area to join everyone for a cinnamon roll and a closing program.
She spotted us coming...
We stood near her cabin's table.
We had about 20 minutes before the program so Camden gave us a quick tour of the grounds near this area. One large building held the indoor chapel (below) and then connected to another building which was the dining hall.
Just outside of that was a walking bridge and the canoe/paddle boat/fishing area.
She was loving being the "expert" and giving us a guided tour of her week of fun.
Back toward the outdoor eating area was the prayer chapel. We entered through the garden path and then down to the bleachers. She told us we had to be quiet and respectful in this area.
We headed back for the program where songs were sung and an overview of the week was given. A few kids gave brief testimonies of what they had learned.
We headed to her cabin, picked up her packed items, and talked briefly with her counselor about how the week went. We were getting in the car and she decided she wanted to give a tour of "challenge mountain" and the "prayer walk". She took her dad and they were gone for a while. I guess she took him deep into the challenge and they both got quite a workout for the day.
She said she didn't miss us at all and can't wait to come back next year. I believe her that she had a fantastic week and even matured a little. However, I did hear her say, as she climbed into bed on Saturday night, "Aahhh, it's good to be home."
