When downtown for the market, we parked across the street from McCord Candies. This is a favorite childhood stop because my dad always bought their Michigan Cherry candies for my sister and me. It was time for Camden to get a peek at this Lafayette treasure.
She immediately wanted down and walked over to the candy case.
"What's that?"

Immediately followed with the realization..."Chocolate!"

We didn't get any candy treats, but it was a
HOT morning, so we splurged and shared a strawberry shake.

She got her straw ready while it was being made at the old soda fountain.

She enjoyed it so much that she wouldn't even look at the camera because it took away from her "deebidee" treat. (That's strawberry in Camdenese).
