Pokeball Cake and Pikachu Cupcakes

I have always loved making Camden's birthday cakes.  The few years we have bought them, they may have looked better, but homemade is still tops in my book.

To stick with the theme, I made Pikachu cupcakes.  I simply used yellow frosting and put a couple of yellow foam ears on them.  I think they are adorable (even if I haven't mastered spiral frosting out of a baggie piping bag).

I thought a pokeball would be an easy cake.  To make it more fun, I added a fun surprise inside.

Camden had no idea about what waited inside and was completely thrilled when the mini Pokemon figurines came spilling out.
