Garden and Flowers

Our property is alive and flourishing.

The garden is producing already.  Well, starts anyway and onions.  We also put up a fence to keep deer out and, so far, have not had any issues.

"Fooled You" Jalapeno peppers (mild, not hot).  We also have a hot plant, along with 4 green pepper plants.

Our first tomato.  All the plants gave us a scare and were turning yellow, but now all are flourishing and we should have a good amount of large, cherry, and grape ones.

We will probably have some of these for dinner tonight.  I love them best when they are small.

Our corn crop is sporadic we think because of the hard ground when we planted.  We have 10 rows, though, so we think we will still get a good harvest.  The 4 rows of beans look good!

Our flowers are magnificent too.  Some are fading out while others are just blooming.  We can't take any credit for these, but are enjoying watching the show.

We had several hummingbirds hanging out so we got them a feeder.  We also have one for the orioles, but so far they haven't visited.  They have a nest or two in our barn and we have seen them in the tree, so we are probably going to move the feeder to under their main tree and see if we have any takers.
