Friday night was Camden's Sock Hop. She is still in the younger group so it was right after school. There were about 150 + Kindergarten through 3rd graders who stayed for this rowdy event.

We have a great DJ (parent of a 1st grader) and a few of us PTO people organize the event. Plenty of parents chaperone and help sell concessions or pass out the free snacks we have in the cafeteria.

Camden had fun running around with different friends and even did some dancing. Especially during the dance contest. She is dressed appropriately in her wild bell bottoms because she is a hippie dancer.

I turned the video on just in time for her to switch to twirling.
The older kids (4-6 graders) come in the evening from 6-8pm and they have a more traditional dance. Lots of strobe lights and good music. Some of these kids can really dance and the dance-off was a blast.
