Vacation Bible School at the little church on our corner starts this week. They always kick off with a bike parade through town, ending at the park for a cookout. We've never done the parade, but decided to give it a try. The kids lined up behind the church.
Two Waveland fire trucks and the tractor with last year's Noah's Ark led the way.
Camden got in the middle of the pack and kept up with everyone. In fact, I'm just in front of her at this point, but she left me about a block later. We figured they were just going about 5 blocks to the park, but when they passed it, she was about 2 blocks a head of me and 1 block ahead of Kevin.
They ended up doing about a 3/4 mile loop of the town. Kevin stayed as close as he could so if she got tired and wanted to stop one of us was there. She made the whole loop!
It was a hot evening and her face was beet red, but as they circled the park to, well park, she looked like she wanted to do another loop!
Afterward we played in the park and ate dinner. The theme this year is Jonah, so they, appropriately, had a fish fry.
