This project fought Kevin (and Pop) every step of the way, but we love the end result! It is a perfect upgrade for our little bathroom and our little house.
I wasn't sure if we would need to get a new shower curtain (we love the deer one), but it actually matched really well and tied the blues and browns in the vanity top and floor together even more. We did get a new curved shower curtain rod which is a nice touch.
Actually all the chrome fixtures are much needed upgrades, too. I'm gonna buy some new towels (for both bathrooms) and that will be the last touch on this room.
The vanity is a tad higher than the old one so we got Camden a new step stool. She always stood on the toilet to reach and we were tired of that. I think the pink polka dots make it Camden's favorite part of the changes.
I love the floor more and more each day. I have always loved the vanity top. One of our favorite small tweaks is the new outlet. The old one was cream, so we needed to get white ones to fit the new colors. We picked one that has a small night light built in. It stays on all the time and gives a nice, perfect glow to the room, particularly the sink area, when it's dark. I highly recommend this cheap upgrade for any bathroom.
We ended up painting the old medicine cabinet white and it goes well. It is designed to stick out from the wall a bit, so I still might get a white framed mirror that is flat to the wall, but for now it looks fine. We both love the new light fixture...such a cool design in a small light.
Job well done, Kevin! Too bad it makes us ready to make upgrades to our bathroom and the kitchen. Lots of projects (and money spent) ahead!
