He Did It!

Austin successfully passed his GED last month.  We had an Open House on Sunday to commemorate this milestone for him.

 

In addition to the cake and ice cream sundae bar, we had meatball subs, ham sandwiches, sausage cheese dip, chips, and a veggie tray.  YUM!

 

We also put pictures of Austin at various stages throughout the room.  It was a nice celebration with family and friends. 

 

We learned about a great job/college training program from some friends that day.  Kevin and Austin made some phone calls yesterday and we are optimistic that this might be a good next step for Austin.  He can learn a trade, get some college credit, and gain some life skills in a very structured, campus-living program.
