The annual Veteran's Day Program at New Market was terrific. What a way to honor these men and women and teach our kids to do the same.
The whole school participated this year. Each grade did a special tribute, but the whole school sang two songs - God Bless America and A Grateful Nation (partially here).
They also did a really cool tribute to each branch of the service. Each branches anthem was played and each person who served with that branch stood. Afterward, each individual veteran come to the microphone and state their name and where they served. There was still a WWII vet in attendance! But many of the older men served in Korea and several were Vietnam Vets.
The student council also did a tribute wall. We sent in a picture of Papaw.
