Crawfordsville Municipal Golf Camp

Camden's mornings this week have been filled with golf at the municipal course.  She is honing her skills in putting, chipping, and driving.  They rotate in stations and work with different volunteers at each location.  She reports she enjoys it very much.

At the end of each day, they get hot dogs and water.  According to Camden, they are "five-star" hot dogs!

Mission: Breakout

When we dropped Camden off to stay the night with Gramma Pat,  Kevin and I decided to do something fun.  Lafayette has two escape rooms, so we went to Mission: Breakout.  There was one other couple there for the time slot and the 4 of us attempted to do Masquerade Manor.  We were trying to get the final puzzle completed when our time ran out.  Oh, so close!  And I could easily be addicted to this fun activity.  Can't wait to do another one.

It was a beautiful evening.  Camden had two friends over and then the neighbors joined in.  Boy, the trampoline was popular!  My view while prepping dinner.

Indianapolis Indians

The last field trip of the year was to an Indianapolis Indians game.  The bus ride was long, but Camden read a bit and then we played 20 questions with some girls around us.

I had Camden and Hailey in my group.  Hailey was super quite, but sweet.

We all sat in one section and most of us had purchased red shirts.  

It was a hot day!  Perfect for some ice cream.  Except it melted everywhere and quickly!  Once we got the melting and the mess under control, she enjoyed it immensely - and has a small baseball hat (was the bowl) as a souvenir.

We were glad to get a few rain drops as we were leaving in the 6th inning to get back to school by the end of the day.  

 

Last Day of School

It's been a busy time...and I have lots of posts to catch up on.  But today was the last day of school  Camden is officially a 5th grader!

Today was awards day.  Camden got a homework award and the Most Improved Girl Award.  Her grades don't always reflect this, but her skills and maturity has definitely improved.  So proud of her!

Her class honor roll, homework award, and specific awards (most improved, reading, math).  Fourth grade is a tough year - only about 1/3 of the kids got any award.  Again, very proud of Camden for doing so well.

Up the Creek

On our "leeway" eating weekend, I wanted pizza.  We headed to Up the Creek and it did not disappoint.

This girl wanted a cheeseburger and ice cream.
