You can see the entrance to the bath was on the fourth wall in the family room. It had a big step up, took away a wall from being completely usable, and was just awkward for people to use (everyone would be watching you enter).
They are almost done now and you can see the immediate difference this makes. They have removed the door, dry-walled, mudded, sanded, and primed the wall. Tomorrow they will paint it.
The entrance has been moved around the corner in a little half hall. It still is a little awkward if people are facing that wall, but it's much more private. They finished trimming out the door and priming this wall.
Inside the bathroom, we also had them take down some wall paper trim, mud and sand the inside of the old door, and prime the walls of the bathroom. There was some damage to the cheap linoleum when they cut the new door, but we had some spare tiles and just had them replace the damaged ones for now. I do want to get new flooring after they paint, but Kevin can put that down.
This makes a world of difference and we can't wait until our furniture arrives in about 6 weeks to finally start utilizing our family room.
