Ladoga Fish Fry, Part I

One of our neighboring small towns had their 75th annual Fish Fry this weekend.  Kevin and I were both up for some good fish (having grown up enjoying community fish frys); however, we were slightly disappointed in this one.  Live and learn.  However, they did have a great playground at the park and several rides for Camden to enjoy.  As you can tell by her face, it was a hot night...and she played hard.

She enjoyed the pony ride, but it was really two other attractions that brought her adventurous side out.  Kevin wasn't going to let her do the wall climb since the foot/hand holds were spaced so far apart for a mere 4 year old, but Camden was insistant.

The first hill was a breeze.  She was then hooked up to the big wall.

She took a while compared to the bigger kids, but she was steadily making her way to the top.

Well, almost.  She got to this point, heard a sound to the side and looked over/down.  She was done.  She had been concentrating so hard in making each step up, that she hadn't realized how high she had gotten.  Just one more step and she would have touched the hand, but she was done.

She made a good climb down and back over the hill.  We both had such a good time watching her push herself to meet this challenge.  And a good laugh watching her hit the "freak out" point.
