Adoption Center

We had a little shopping to do after our morning at the park.  Outside one of the stores was a pet adoption event held by a local rescue shelter.  We enjoyed meeting a few pups.

We finally left when we realized we were both getting really tempted to take one home.  We are soooo close to being ready for a pet, but circumstances aren't quite ideal (house on the market, our schedules, etc) for us to dive in right now.

Danville Woods

The other nice thing about this park is that there was a nice pond and a wood with trails.  We took advantage of the beautiful day and explored.

Camden was intrigued by the duck.  She slowly inched her way toward it...and then offered a french fry!

When the duck made a few steps toward her, I quickly instructed her to toss it to the duck and to come join me...I did not really want to see a duck attack over a McDonald's fry.

Then we headed into the woods and took a brief trek on a simple trail.

A fun, family outing!

Danville Park

Kevin had a change at his job and now has weekends off.  It's the first time since we've been married that we have had the same weekend!  He gets home Friday morning and doesn't go back until Sunday night.  He has to sleep a few hours on Friday morning, but other than that, we get a true weekend together.

We didn't have a lot planned for this weekend, so decided to head toward Indy and figure it out.  We knew we wanted to have some play time, so we stopped at a new park in Danville.  I think it was my favorite park to date.  It had a huge, three story play structure, plus a smaller toddler one.  The big slide (probably the biggest/steepest one I've ever seen) was a little too intimidating to her and a few of the others were too "fast and scary" for her to attempt alone, but she really enjoyed this outing.

Random Photos

We stopped at GaGa's last night after an evening walk and took a few pictures using her camera.  When I got the camera card home and uploaded the pictures we had taken, I discovered several other recent photos that I decided to copy.

One from her birthday with lit candles and her starting to blow them out.  I don't know if her face is really that dirty or if there is something on the camera, but she sure seems to need a bath...oh, well.  I love that we captured that moment.

A few pictures from the VBS program.  I absolutely adore the first picture of Camden and her Grandpa.

Camden and Hali enjoy seeing each other so much.  One day Camden was reading to Hali (although I think something on TV got both of their attention over the book).

This is just a random picture I took the other night.  I was laughing so hard.  Camden loves Kevin's new hunting boots.  They are literally as tall as her legs...and that little bottom hanging over the top makes me giggle.  I also can't believe how long her hair is when it's down.  To think I always used to fret about my hairless baby girl!

Center Pointe

Camden will start dance lessons in a few weeks.  Wednesday we went to the studio to sign her up.  I was under the impression she'd actually get to do a few activities and she was very disappointed that we just had to sign some papers (and write a check).

The studio is in downtown Crawfordsville and comes highly recommended by friends from church.  It is Christian-owned so there is appropriate music and movement selected.

The instructor for the three year olds is the owners daughter and a Colts cheerleader.  She and one of her fellow cheerleaders were there at registration to sign posters and take pictures.  Camden was acting too shy to allow me to get a photo.

We signed her up for a combination class of tumbling, ballet, and tap.  We thought this would be a good introduction to figure out what she likes and doesn't like.  It did mean, however, that we had to invest in a few items for the class.

I'm in love with the tap shoes.  Camden put them on last night and was thrilled by the sound as she walked through the kitchen.  We can't wait until she's on a wood dance floor!
