Watch Out Michelle Wie!

Our night out this weekend was to Olive Garden and the mall in Lafayette.  Our waiter saw how much Camden loved her tomotoes and brought a whole plateful for her.  The scowl on her face does not indicate how much she enjoyed them.

At the mall, our first stop was Dick's Sporting Goods.  Kevin is getting "golf fever" and went straight to that section.  He couldn't resist the kids clubs and found the perfect set for his baby girl.  She still needs a little work on her form, before we will buy her a real set!

It's Grillin' Season

We grill throughout the year, but once Spring hits, it's a rare night that we don't grill.  While it is not yet Spring, and the weather wasn't fully cooperating (notice winter coats and flip flops), it was still wonderful to fire up this bad boy and have yummy grilled burgers earlier this week.  Daddy had a big helper to get things rolling!

73 Degrees!

Time for a trip to the little park down the street!

St. Paddy's Day Treats

I sent a special snack for Camden's class at daycare on St. Patrick's Day.  I asked her what she wanted and she chose cupcakes.  As we discussed it on the drive home the day before, I told her they would be green.  She loved the idea.  Then quickly asked for pink ones (and blue and red...).  I explained that because of the holiday, they should be green.  PINK!  So we compromised -- green cupcakes with pink frosting.

Side note:  It was a last minute decision to make and I just used store bought cake mix (tinted green with food coloring) and frosting.  Unfortunately, when we got home at 9 o'clock on Wednesday night and I went to bake them, I discovered the only cupcake liners I had were smushed flat and unusable.  Figures!  I guess I shouldn't complain...those who ate them didn't!

Turkey Run Inn

We took GaGa and Grandpa out to dinner at Turkey Run Inn this week (since they watch Camden so often, this is a small way to thank them).  The weather was still a little chilly, but Camden enjoyed the outdoors.  GaGa wanted to see her up in the tree, so Daddy carefully lifted her up.

She then got into the mood to model and struck a few poses on nearby rocks.

The bench was so welcoming at the entrance that a few more pictures were in order.

On the way out, Camden had to chase a few squirrels and I enjoyed watching all the adults partake in the silliness.

There is an indoor swimming pool at the Inn that can be seen from the restaurant and Camden talked about it non-stop during dinner.  As we were heading to the car, she spotted a sign and quickly pointed out the swimming pool.  I think we will start some swim lessons soon.  The girl loves water!

Latest Obsession

All and all not a bad obsession.  Truth be told, however, it has more to do with playing in the water for 10-15 minutes.  If she's not "brushing her teeth," she's "washing her hands."  Both are usually accompanied by trying to climb up on the sink from the step stool or from the toilet stool.  And Miss Independent wants you to "go away" so she can do it herself.  I'm afraid we might be in for a bonk on the head before too long if she continues to think she can climb without us beside her!
