Lunch
I was at school last week to help in the art room for the morning. Then I was able to catch this cutie for a visit over lunch.

Elite Air
A few Saturday's ago, we invited Camden's friend, Rhianah to come with us to Lafayette for the day. Rhianah lives next door to Papaw. She is one year (almost to the day) younger than Camden and in first grade. However, she is so tall that Camden only comes up to Anah's shoulders.
It was such a joy to have the two of them together. They are both smart and imaginative and funny. There were lots of giggles from the back seat! We had stopped to get the car washed and they loved watching other cars go through and get attacked by the "octopus" and "squid" cleaning machines.
Next we headed to Elite Air. This is a new trampoline park in Lafayette. I had bought a Groupon to use and it was a great deal - 2 people for 1 hour for only $9. Perfect!
Camden couldn't believe it. They enjoy all the various sections.
By the end of the day, Camden had perfected using the wall trampolines (below was an early attempt).
The trampoline runways to the foam pit was another favorite.
Surprisingly, I think they spent the most time in the dodge ball area. Not always playing the game, but definitely enjoyed jumping around the smaller, confined area. Nice throw, Camden!
The place also had a small arcade area. Of course, Camden had to play a few games. They had a heated match of air hockey.
Such a fun day with a good friend.

#3
Camden lost another tooth last week. They are slowly, but surely, coming out.
We put it in an envelope and left it under her pillow that night. In the morning, I got up, fixed a bowl of cereal and sat down to watch the news over breakfast. Camden groggily said, "Moooommm, turn off the TV." I reminded her that this is what I do every morning and the TV was staying on. "No, Mom, please turn it off." After my second reminder that she can fall back asleep even when it's on, she said, "But that's not why. The Tooth Fairy hasn't come yet." OH NO! Something had to be done...
I turned off the TV and finished my cereal in the other room (WINK). I came back about 10 minutes later to wake her so she could get ready and we talked about how unusual it was for the Tooth Fairy to not get the tooth. Maybe there was a note. She checked her bedroom, she checked the kitchen, she checked the front door. After a check of the dining room table, she found this.
We laughed and laughed at the silly Tooth Fairy not planning very well and running out of money. Sure enough she came the next night and even left an extra 50 cents for the trouble.

Poor Baby
This little thing gets a bad headache about once a month. Usually it starts about 5pm in the evening and she moans for a bit. Then she lays down and is out in minutes and sleeps until I wake her the next morning at 7:30am. And she's fine after that long night of sleep so usually heads off to a normal day of school.
Last night it happened again at about 7:30. She came out to the living room, laid down on the couch and was out in a matter of minutes. She woke up this morning and did a few moans and asked if she could stay home for the day. I said she could (she sometimes just needs a mental health day too) and she rolled over and covered up again. Then a few minutes later, "Can I have some strawberry ice cream?" Yep this was more mental health than sickness. But she's sure to throw in a whiny voice or a moan if we bring up something related to being sick.

Stupid Cat
We really do love Max. He has become a really good cat. However, he still is pretty ridiculous sometimes and therefore we sometimes call him, "Stupid Cat." Other times we just shake our head. Like when we find him asleep atop one of Camden's large stuffed dogs. Seriously?!?!?

Leftovers
I was looking at pictures on Kevin's phone and found a few recent ones that were never posted.
A few from trick-or-treating around Waveland on Halloween night.
Enjoying the creek during Iron Man.

Brrrrr....
This morning was cold enough to get out the winter coat. I bought this one for $3 off one of my friends who has twin girls just a year or so older than Camden. They have the cutest clothes (and two of them). The grey polka dot shirt underneath is another $2 purchase. She has become my new favorite store!

Show-n-Tell
Can you guess what Camden is bringing for Show-n-Tell today? Bet her teacher loves me for allowing it.

Iron Man 2015
Going to the Iron Man race has become a new tradition for Camden and her dad. She really is an outdoor girl. Walking through the woods, throwing rocks in the creek, watching the race - all enjoyable to this girl!
She also, apparently, thinks we can just buy her a four-wheeler. After trying a few out, she declared that Kevin should just "get it".
Kevin said that I wouldn't like it, but Camden insisted I would really like this two-seater. And the $24,000 sticker price didn't faze her one bit!
One of the other traditions takes place at the event - Cheesecake on a Stick. It's as delicious as it sounds and looks.
She had so much fun on Saturday, the two of them went back on Sunday afternoon for some more racing.
